Micro Nano MEMS 2017 took place on 26-27 September in Hall 1 at the NEC, Birmingham as a part of the Sensors & Instrumentation show.
The event closed on a high, with exhibitors commending the 9th edition of event for the quality of its visitors. With exhibitors showcasing the latest products and services, a lively and informative seminar programme and an exciting range of feature areas, it was an action packed two days for buyers and decision makers in the field of micro and nano technology.

The dedicated Micro Nano MEMS seminar theatre offered thought-provoking and informative presentations on topics at the forefront of the industry, including ‘Big Data in Nanotechnology – Marketing Science and Measuring Impact’ delivered by Franky Barker of AZoNetwork, ‘Pushing the Limits: Micro Moulding’ presented by Aaron Johnson of Accumold and many more.
The 2017 event incorporated a number of first time public appearances of new technologies. The first ever public demonstration of the Yuneec H520 Hexacopter took place in the Drone Zone Demo Area. This new and exciting drone from Yuneec includes an interchangeable thermal camera and is also able to fly pre-determined routes.
Visitors also got to see live demos of game-changing products on the new Connecting Industry LIVE! stage, the debut of humanoid robot Stanley Qubit, complete a lap in the PR Electronics Formula 1 car simulator and delve deeper into the field of robotics with Alfie, a robot ‘with a difference’. The Innovation Showcase area provided a snapshot of the range of developments on show at the exhibition in the centre of the hall.
